The I-SEED Atyrau project, (Innovation, Social Entrepreneurship, Education Development in Atyrau) is part of Chevron’s Atyrau Youth Development Initiative, which brings innovative and interactive programming to young people in Atyrau, Kazakhstan. I-SEED Atyrau aims at promoting social entrepreneurship and developing enterprise skills among youth. The program promotes social entrepreneurship among youth as both an employment option and as a route to provide solutions to challenges facing local communities, thereby contributing to economic development of Atyrau. With the support of the Atyrau regional government and implemented by the British Council, I-SEED Atyrau introduces aspects of social enterprise to youth, stimulates collaboration between entrepreneurs in Atyrau and their peers in other areas of Kazakhstan and internationally, with emphasis on mentoring relationships. With a portfolio of various activities and in cooperation with partners and stakeholders, the program strives to strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Atyrau to support prosperity and youth development in the region.
