Test Date Transfer

  • Candidates may transfer test dates within the next three months period if they notify the test centre more than five weeks before the selected test date. The centre may charge an administrative fee of 25% of exams fee
  • Candidates who wish to transfer test dates within the five-week period prior to the test date will be treated as a cancellation and receive no transfer
  • Candidates who seek to transfer test dates within the five-working prior to the test date will only receive a transfer if they can satisfy to the Administrator that their ability to sit the test has been affected by illness or serious cause. Serious causes include only:
  1. Illness – e.g. hospital admission or injury (does not include minor illness such as a mild cold). Candidates must provide a medical certificate
  2. Loss or bereavement – death of a close family member
  3. Hardship/trauma – victim of crime, victim of a traffic accident
  4. Military service.
  • Candidates who do not able to attend test date due to any of aforementioned causes must lodge an application for transfer to the test centre no later than five working days after the test date. Candidates must complete a Request for Refund or Test Date Transfer Form and attach the appropriate documentation and/or evidence. Acceptable documents include only a medical certificate from a qualified medical practitioner, a death notice or certificate, or a police report. Statutory declarations and/or certificates signed by family members are not acceptable
  • If the candidate’s application is approved, candidates must select a test date within the next three month period and this will be approved by the Administrator depending on availability for the selected test date
  • Candidates who wish to transfer to a test date more than three months away should apply for a refund and then re-apply for the test
  • To transfer your test date, please complete and submit:

  2. Supporting documents
  3. ID copy
  4. Bank payment confirmation

  • Candidates who wish to cancel test dates within the five-week period prior to the test date will be treated as a cancellation and receive no refund
  • Candidates who seek to cancel test dates within the five-working prior to the test date will only receive a refund if the can satisfy to the Administrator that their ability to sit the test has been affected by illness or serious cause. Serious causes include only:
  1. Illness – e.g. hospital admission or injury (does not include minor illness such as a mild cold). Candidates must provide a medical certificate

How to Have Your UKVI IELTS Re-evaluated

If you believe that evaluation of your test was wrong, you may apply to the appeal service for re-evaluation. Applications are accepted within six weeks of the test date. You may also specify what sections of your test needs to be re-evaluated.  A fee of £115 is charged for re-evaluation; however, this sum will be returned to you if your final score changes after re-evaluation. Re-evaluation will take up to eight weeks.

To apply for re-evaluation, you should submit the following documents: 

  • duly filled and signed application for re-evaluation;
  • receipt confirming payment;
  • copy of your passport or ID; and
  • an original application for refund written by hand in English.
