Due to the heightened measures introduced by the Government of Kazakhstan from 16 March in response to the coronavirus (Covid-19), the British Council is temporarily suspending all IELTS test sessions in Kazakhstan with immediate effect.

Also, we are temporarily closing our front office in Almaty and Nur-Sultan to visitors from 21 March onward. This means that in-person collection of hard copy IELTS Test Report Forms will be suspended for this period. If you still require a hard copy of your Test Report Form, please either collect it before 21 March or contact exams@kz.britishcouncil.org for information on the options available to you.

We will closely monitor the situation and will communicate new test dates for candidates who have previously registered to take the test as soon as we are able to. Alternatively, you may request a full refund of your test fee.

If you want to request a refund or to register your interest in taking a test when sessions resume, please send an email to exams@kz.britishcouncil.org by 27 March 2020.

Alternatively, please subscribe to our mailing list so you’ll receive up-to-date information on future test dates when we resume our exams.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience but the health and well-being of our students, customers and colleagues is our top priority.

Please take care and follow the latest advice available from the World Health Organization.
